Patience creates selection
Etyeki Kúria Pinot Noir Selection 2019
There are no recipes in winemaking; every vintage, harvest day and barrel are different, continuous experimentation and learning are essential. One prime example of this is the way a selection is created.
The shipping cost of the wines is a gift of Etyeki Kúria Winery in the case of purchases over 20.000 HUF gross.
How it’s created
Hand harvesting followed by berrying. During the 14 days of fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation, each harvest day is treated separately. The most promising batches mature in 300 litre French and Austrian oak barrels for 15 months (100% new). We blend the best barrel contents for this 2640 bottle.
On the nose
The nose is layered, opening with spices - cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, anise, fennel, and then almost blackberries, blackcurrants, currants, cherries, blueberries in the background.
On the palate
Forest fruits, with a slight minty, rose-peppery, rosehip (heathery) flavour.
Truffles
Lamb chops
